The shorts are comfortable but the pockets are just for show I am assuming. Would be good if they made the phone pocket a bit bigger; big enough to put an iphone4 in it.

Agree with these comments
I tried to buy the k17800 but was told they were out of production so settled for the k17200. These shorts are comfortable but the pockets are RIDICULOUS. The phone pocket is stupid, nobody has a phone that small anymore, try to get an iphone in there, the coin pocket is deep enough to fit fort knox in but try to get a 2 dollar coin from the bottom of it HA! good luck, who has fingers that long? the zippered cargo pocket is a pain, scratching your hand as you try to dive for nails or tools. then there is the pen pocket in the back pocket REALLY? just think of a broken biro and holes poked in your car seats when you forget to take out the pen. All up not well thought out, maybe could have spoken to tradies before releasing this model.

The Coin pocket is ideal for my use - side cutters, as is the phone pocket for my pliers/level/screw driver. Don't use the other pockets. Strong comfortable shorts.

I still gots a small phone, I agree with Rohan's review. The zip pocket is the most important pocket but the zip scratches and jams on stray threads. I like the shorts and will buy another pair anyways.
